About Me
My name is Spencer Burton and I was born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario. I completed my honours degree in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University before pursuing a Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa. Now, I am thrilled to be fulfilling my lifelong dream of being a teacher!
Teaching is a career that has always interested me. It is my belief that a good education is one of the most important thing that we can provide the younger generation. It is a very rewarding experience empowering children to grasp the foundational knowledge and skills that they will use for the rest of their lives. However, it takes a skilled and passionate individual to accomplish such a task.
An exceptional teacher understands that education is more than academic excellence and gaining knowledge through a standardized curriculum. In fact, a teacher can have a positive impact on the life of a child that can extend far beyond the classroom.
Join me on my journey of being an educator who’s “learning about learning”, researching the current trends in education, and having some fun along the way!
